Description An overview of safety, health, and environmental issues in the performance of all job tasks.

Learning Outcomes
Describe the components of a typical plant safety and environmental program and the role of a process technician in relation to safety, health, and the environment; identify the functionality of safety, health, and environmental equipment used.

Identify and adjust controls to meet requirements for safe and effective operation. PSLO Course Outcomes 4. Implements standard safety procedures as required in industry. 2. Students will be able to describe the role of a process technician in relation to safety, health, and environment. COVID 19 Information The Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) Student Code of Conduct COVID 19 Policy requires students who have been diagnosed with COVID 19 to report their condition directly to their local health department. Students should also contact their course faculty to report their quarantine status. In addition, this policy requires all students to wear face coverings when directly exposed to COVID 19 in compliance with the criteria included in the policy.
